passing us by

These songs might bring back some memories for some of you…We Live For Love-Pat Benetar, The Loco-Motion-Grand Funk, Mickey-Toni Basil, Blinded By the Light, The Hustle,…. Any memories?  When I hear that music it brings back the memories of good old skateland.  Strapping on my four wheels, getting on the rink, feeling the air in my hair and thinking I was pretty cool skatin’ around, backwards and even couples skating (oh boy do I remember couples skating) No but we had some good times at the skate rink. 

So when Colby’s sister asked us to go for her kids’ birthday I though sure we could go that would be a blast.  Yeah, not so much.  I think I may be a little too old for my bad self.  I feel a few times, watched Colby wobble on and off as he cursed a few times, cricked my back holding up both of my kids, and by the time the hour was over my ankles felt like they were on fire.  Let’s just say I won’t be spending every weekend at the skating rink like we use to, once was enough for a year or so!
