a wicked good time

The other day we celebrated Erin's (my sisters) 30th birthday in a Wicked way. Literally it was a Wicked theme and it was way fun. Anyone, who knows my family knows my sister, my mom, and I are very close. We grew up with just my mom raising us so we became very close basically best friends. So I really wanted to make Erin (my sister) feel extra special for her 30th birthday (she threw me an awesome 30th birthday 2 years ago so I had to really step it up)! Well, my mom bought our whole family (Erin’s family, my family and her) tickets to go see Wicked that comes here in July, which is something Erin and I really want to do, but would never be able to afford so that is what inspired the Wicked theme. Before the birthday Erin has no idea about the Wicked tickets so when she found out she said she almost threw up she was so excited. It was way cute and way exciting.

Anyway, I sent out a cute invitations (thanks to the help of my way creative and cute friend, Sandra) that said,

“We all know that for Erin
there is no place like home.
But home is no place to be on your
30th Birthday!
It is time to get out for an afternoon of
Wicked fun.

So, jump on your broom sticks and head over
to Crackers on Greenfield & Brown
Dec. 20th at 12:30pm

No matter if you are a good or bad witch
we hope to see you there.
Let us all make Erin feel Popular on her
special day.

Will you make it to OZ?
Call the Wicked Witch, Heather at (my number).

...Erin knows about lunch...
but let us keep the Wicked theme a secret.”

And then on the actual day of the “BIG” event Erin, Kinley and I headed out to get our toes all cutsyed up with a pedicure and then did a little Christmas shopping and then headed over to Crackers to start our party. It was so wonderful. Crackers was awesome. The staff was wonderful and helpful and everything turned out perfect. There were about 25 girls that showed up to show there love and support for Erin and they were all wearing green and black (for the Wicked theme). It was a wonderful afternoon filled with fun and friends. Planning a big shindig like this is a lot of work, but I love my sister so much and she truly is my best friend and means the world to me. I would do it all over again tomorrow to make her happy. Erin you are the best and I hope for one day you were “wicked” happy. I love you, sister!!!  (If you want to see more cute pictures go check out my sister's blog in a few days she'll have lots of fun pictures on there I'm sure.)
