Brielle is halfway through kindergarten and I have been so amazed at how fast she is learning to read and write. It is so fun as a parent to watch your kidos learn to do something amazing like reading and writing. I had school conferences with her teacher the other day and her teacher said she is the best student and so bright. She showed me a sample of her writing and I was just so proud of her. She wrote, I like to play with my friend (I like to play wi my fres). I couldn't believe I was actually reading something she wrote on her own it was beautiful, I almost cried, my smart little girl. It's so funny because she goes around reading and sounding out everything. When she started kindergarten she didn’t read anything and now she is reading so many words. She is even reading short books and having so much fun doing it. Every night we read to our kids and since Brielle has stared reading she has been wanting to read to us. I got her some books to read to us. My friend Sarah, told me about the BOB books that I borrowed from her and they have been amazing. Brielle has plowed through them and loves it. We are ready to move onto the next set of books. Now we still read our normal books and Brielle loves to be read to, but she also love to read to us. It's wonderful. Soon it will be time to move onto her reading everyday books to us. I love to see her loving learning it makes me so excited. You go Brielle, you make us proud.
